Exotic Shorthair
Persian's short-haired cousin — flat-faced, low maintenance(-ish).
Exotic Shorthairs were bred to give Persian temperament + face without the daily grooming commitment. The flat face still brings respiratory + tear-duct issues. They live 12–15 years.
What makes them, them
- 8–14 lb adult; plush short coat.
- Brachycephalic — eye discharge daily, BOAS-like respiration.
- PKD (polycystic kidney disease) in lines bred from Persian.
- Calm, low-energy.
Safety — what actually goes wrong
- Daily eye + face wipe.
- PKD DNA test before purchase.
- Indoor only.
How Boop helps Exotic Shorthairs stay home
Lost-mode posters in two taps — Exotics escape during moves and hide silently. Posters work where social media doesn't.
