Pomeranian
The smallest spitz — a fox in fluff form.
Poms are 5 lb of personality with a coat that can hide a Boop tag completely. They're descended from sled dogs (Poms used to be 30 lb before Queen Victoria insisted on miniaturisation). The drive is still in there — they will run.
What makes them, them
- 3–7 lb adult; double coat, not hypoallergenic.
- Tracheal collapse common — never use a collar lead, only harness.
- Patellar luxation, dental crowding, alopecia X.
- Long-lived (12–16 years).
Safety — what actually goes wrong
- Predator risk — hawks, coyotes, and owls take Poms regularly in suburban areas.
- Always supervise off-leash time; their recall is unreliable.
- Tag attached to a HARNESS, not a collar (tracheas).
How Boop helps Pomeranians stay home
