Talkative, opinionated, and bonded for life.
Siamese cats narrate their day. They follow you to the bathroom, sleep on your face, and grieve hard when their human disappears. They're intelligent enough to learn fetch and stupid enough to stick their head in trouble — escape attempts are common.
What makes them, them
- 6–14 lb adult; short coat in seal/blue/chocolate/lilac point.
- Vocal: loud, distinctive yowl.
- Crossed eyes used to be common; modern lines mostly bred out.
- Gum disease elevated; brush teeth weekly.
Safety — what actually goes wrong
- Tag the cat AND post the cat's photo on the front door — Siamese try to dart out.
- Never let outdoors without a leash; their value plus their boldness is a bad combo.
- Monitor amyloidosis risk in Asian-line Siamese (genetic).
