What happens when someone scans your tag — and how you'll know.
You get a push notification within seconds. Boop+ adds an SMS + email at the same time. The scan event also shows up in your pet's history with a rough geolocation (only if the scanner allowed location).
Only what they choose to share: a name and a message, optionally a phone or email. If they granted location permission, the scan map shows the city. We never expose the scanner's full identity to you.
Your phone might have brushed it during a hug. NFC tags fire on any 4cm-or-less contact with an NFC-enabled phone — pockets, bags, the kitchen counter. You can mark 'this was me' to filter the false-positive out of your history.
